All My Bags Are Packed!

Well...technically they aren't. I'm such a procrastinator. But they will be very soon, because we are leaving for Tulum,Mexico late tomorrow night!

I'm sorry that I haven't been a good blogger friend lately. I haven't been keeping up with everyone like I usually do. It's been a rough winter. This vacation will be good for "mind and body" I'm hoping! My joints could really use the warmth, and my mind could really use the sunshine!

It'll be my Mom, Aunt Judy, my sister Angie, and Me!
A full week of laying on the beach, drinking fruity drinks, and reading good books!
Plus some massages, snorkeling, and shopping thrown in!
*I still have to run to Barnes and Noble tomorrow. So if anyone has any book recommendations, I'd really appreciate it!

And then there are these "cenotes" to swim in. Has anyone done this? I guess they're like underground lakes or caves. I want to do it! I don't think the rest of the crew wants to join me though.

I guess it does look kind of creepy. So I'll let you know how that works out! lol

We're staying at an all inclusive resort. But I found this restaurant on Pinterest called "Hartwood", and it's supposed to be amazing! So we will be going there too.

OK Friends, I also wanted to thank you for your comments and support about Max. Sometimes it can be so sad and frustrating, seeing dogs that have been mistreated. It helps to be able to talk about it on my blog, and to get a "thumbs up" from people I know feel the same way.

See You When I Get Back From Tulum!
Erica :)

  1. Have a great time Erica!! I have no doubt that you will. looks like a beautiful spot to go. I can easily sit on the beach all day long. I think beach sitting is the only time that my mind and body really relaxes! I feel my whole being take a deep sigh as soon as i settle into my beach chair... even if only at my beloved lake ontario! have fun! take lots of pics!! and be safe!

    1. PS/ I love Lisa See, her latest is China Dolls. Or for a fun easy read, anything by Mary Kay Andrews. I'm reading The Hurricane Sisters by Dorothea Benton Frank, good one also.

  11. Looks so warm and inviting. Snow here and low temps. I'm staying nice and warm inside taking a nice break to visit all of the blogs I like to read!

  12. You are going to have a great time! If you go north a bit, there is a quaint tiny town called Akumal which is wonderful for snorkeling with the sea turtles who come to feed on the grasses. Don't pay for a group snorkeling trip, you can literally walk right in from the beach and see the turtles in about 3 or 4 feet of water. It's a nice town to spend a day at the beach - very safe.

    1. Thank you so much for the info about Akumal! We had such an amazing time on this trip, and plan to go back next year! I'll for sure take your advice about snorkeling with the sea turtles. We took a catamaran out and did some snorkeling. The boat ride was fabulous, but the snorkeling was just ok. We saw just two turtles. Thanks again! :)
