Try as might, I just couldn't keep from buying a couple things for my collection this season. But I do have to say, that overall I have been great about staying out of the thrifts and antique stores this Holiday Season. The other night though I just had to get out of the house. So...this little gang of elves became mine!
And this fireplace is really fun. It's about the size of a large Putz House. It plugs in and has a little red light in the chimney. I'm very tempted to give it a little make-over though.
The dealer that gave me 50% off a couple weeks ago was at Annie's again! This time she said 75% off! She said "I want it all GONE"! I didn't feel too bad because I know these things had been there for a long time.
Fifty cent ornaments.
I scared the heck out of my sister by placing this Santa on her bed! Haaa! She of course thinks he's the creepiest thing ever. But he was in a 50% off booth! So I don't care what she thinks. lol
The deer were in that same booth. And the putz house was $1.00 because the chimney is coming off. Don't care about that either.
This was my favorite find. It's just part of a box! The bottom wasn't included so it was marked $2.00!
Do I care if it has a bottom?? Nope! It will be so great in my Santa display!
And last but not least, this is Tammy, Harriette, Me, and Deb! The girls came over last week to do some crafting and eating...and laughing! We had so much fun!
Harriette did a post about it today, so I'm just going to link to hers. I've got more baking, shopping, and wrapping to do! Better get going.
Happy Holidays to all of you, my friends!
Erica :)
WOW, 75% off is a Great deal! The santa does look a little creepy! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS, Erica!
May your Christmas day be filled with Peace, Joy and much Happiness!
XO,

Good holiday finds and it is hard to resist a trip to the thrifts/shops this time of year! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteoh those elves are so cute! glad you girls could get together! ♥

Love that cute fireplace!!
ReplyDeleteOh, look at all you beautiful girls!! :-) Your little elves look super cute sitting along the fireplace. And I adore that little plastic prism ornaments with the cute little angel. I've got a couple similar to that. They are just so vintage cutesie. Merry Christmas to you, Erica!
ReplyDeleteLook at you girls crafting and having fun! I'm so jealous and wish I lived close by. Of course....your new pixies are precious! They are what I always look for but rarely find. You've done great with the marked down treasures, too. Merry Christmas my friend! It's a joy to visit you and see your pretty things. I just know you'll do something great with that fireplace, too! Holiday hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteLove it all! The elves, the deer, the plushy Santa (love creeping people out with these guys), & those 2 little snowmen are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI had some wrapping paper like that. Can you believe that it was in one of those file sized boxes where the handles push in with some other papers & one of my cats stuck her paw in, took the sheet out of the plastic wrap with the other wrapping paper, pulled it through the hole & tore only half of it to shreds? I don't know how she did it... & why.. that box was there for 2 months.
❄ MERRY CHRISTMAS ERICA ❄
Home again from a whirlwind across the state in an ice storm. So glad to take a peek at your blog this evening. Your teeny tiny fireplace is absolutely amazing! I'm completely smitten and if you give it a make-over, you must send me pictures. Christmas hugs!
ReplyDeletePS. I'm still jealous of your Christmas crafting time with the gals. I seriously wished I lived closer to you all!
Such a fun post! Everything is so cute! How fun to have a crafting day with sweet friends! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace is fantastic, I have the standing reindeer too. With that much of a discount you had to get it all!! Oh what fun, crafting with friends!
ReplyDeleteChris =]
Everything you took home would have made into in my basket as well! What a cool little fireplace (oh yes, it needs your touch!) and I love the box with the Santa paper, adorable! Your haul was a perfect little treat for you right before Christmas!
ReplyDeleteEvie
I am so glad you got those sweet little elves! They are a happy looking bunch! It is funny because I went into a little thrift store with my daughter the other day and saw a Santa that was very similar or maybe the same as the one that scared your sister! When I picked it up, my daughter was saying, "Oh, my he is scary! I don't like him Momma!" So I put the little guy back on the shelf. Now I am tempted to go see if he is still there!
ReplyDeleteSweet Erica, Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!
Blessings,
Susie
Oh, wow! I just noticed your header! It is so cute and guess what? I have that same milk glass cake stand and red Pyrex bowl! (No lid though) They are sitting on my table with the my five Santa mugs! And some other Christmas goodies! Haha! Great minds think alike, I guess!
ReplyDeleteLove the elves and that cute fireplace!! Its so nice your girls live so close to be able to get together!!! How fun!! :) Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteEvery time I read one of your posts about things you find, I have to remind myself that I am not reading my own blog! Our tastes are exactly the same. Must be that separated at birth thing again. Did you see that Maddie picked out that same Santa at the antique mall? You girls are funny.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family, Erica!
~Erica

ReplyDeleteErica,

I love all your finds especially the deer and those little characters next to them. It's it fun when friends get together to craft. I teach sewing to two gals once a week and we've been Christmas crafting for weeks now! We all love it.
