In My Room, In My Room :)

I'm out of time! So here is a very picture heavy post. I suspect that most of you are busy doing x-masy things, and not catching up on blog reading anyway!
But here you go...just in case you have a moment to relax!

My beautiful house from Kim K., mixed with some vintage ones.

This bunny and the Santa below were made by folk artist Kerry Howard Schmidt of Paper Moon Gallery.
She makes such funny characters! Her Halloween ones are the best! I also have a skeleton and an Easter Bunny. She sells on Etsy, and it's really fun to look back at her "sold" items!

LOL. Another by Paper Moon Gallery.  I think he's hilarious, and darn cute!
Some of my plastic candy containers.
Mini mug and spun cotton picks were a gift from Tammy this year!

An example of what I like to do with vintage x-mas corsages.
That's just one corsage tucked into the Santa mug.
This whole set of gnomes was $10 at the flea market one year!
One of my favorites, because you don't often see orange in vintage glass ornaments.

I can't tell if the Pet one is a Bunny or a Dog, darling either way! And the one on the right is huge!

Grandma Dorothy's Candy Cane Holder.

I had to toss one more pic of my wreath in! Better light this time.

People call these grapes. But to me they're raspberries, and make me think of picking berries with my Grandma Dorothy at the cabin.

This bottle brush tree is a foot tall, and was my Great Grandma's!

Merry Holidays to all of you! And a special HELLO to my brand new followers!
Erica

  10. You are totally right about taking a little break to catch up on the blogs. That is exactly what I am doing right now. So I noticed two things about your post. Ready?

#1: If this is just your bedroom, I absolutely cannot wait to see how you decorate an entire house!! Sister, Maddie & I may have to plan a visit someday:-)

#2: Remember how we have a grandma Gloria in common? Well my grandma Gloria's middle name was Dorothy. Another crazy tie you and I have!

Merry Christmas & thanks so so so so much for the super sweet card and ornament tags. Sister, Maddie & I were so excited to get them.

  19. Your Christmas Corner is WOW!! There is so much eye candy to look at. The bunny is funny (that's a joke son - sorry, bad foghorn leghorn impression). I love how you arranged everything, it all flows together so nicely. I like seeing how others decorate, Thanks for the peek.

  20. Merry Christmas Erica,
I just love all of your amazing and super cute vintage Christmas goodies!!! I am very partial to the snowman and I must admit as I was looking at the pictures, I had to stop and go grab the tissue because I was drooling so much LOL
Some of your items I have never seen before so it was fun to look. My Mom used to have some of those elves on the pinecone ornaments but when she divorced her last husband, he took boxes of Mother's Christmas decorations and she never got them back. He was a real gem, he moved out while she was in surgery!!!! Her neighbor called me at the hospital to tell me that he had moved out, and left every window in the house open with the AC running! I hope and pray that he gets his someday!!! Oh well, got off topic but it made me so mad, I remember putting those little elves out each Christmas on the same shelf of a bookcase that my real Father built before he died.

I hope you and Noel have a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy your vacation and be careful with those crutches!
    Hugs,
Lynn and the wienee ranch crew!

I am giggling over those big old eyes on your bunny and Santa that were crafted for you....I'm afraid my eyes are a match right now after sewing for weeks! I think my eyes are in cardiac arrest!
Oh...what fun all your decorations are...and what a perfect expression "In My Room" from the Beach Boys. I remember that song from my teen years...it was a fav!
